Cobra Haul wasn't created in a boardroom. It was built on a friendship that began more than two decades ago in the United States Air Force.
In 2005, co-founders Ron and Justin met at Hurlburt Field, Florida, where they were fellow aircrew members and training students. What started as a professional relationship quickly grew into a lasting friendship built on shared values: hard work, accountability, teamwork, and service to others.
A few years later, both were reassigned to Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska, where they served together in the legendary 45th Reconnaissance Squadron. Flying aboard the RC-135S Cobra Ball, one of the world's most specialized intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance aircraft, they participated in missions supporting national security while traveling across the globe. Their military service took them to places such as Alaska, England, Japan, the Middle East, and Diego Garcia, exposing them to different cultures, challenging environments, and the importance of trust and teamwork under pressure.
The name Cobra Haul comes directly from those years of service.
While brainstorming names for the company, there was one that immediately stood out. The Cobra Ball aircraft and mission had played a defining role in both of their military careers. It represented professionalism, precision, reliability, and teamwork. By combining that proud aviation heritage with the hauling and removal services they planned to provide, Cobra Haul was born.
Today, both Ron and Justin still proudly call the Greater Omaha area home. They are both married, with three children each, and remain deeply invested in the community they serve. When they are not helping customers with cleanouts, junk removal projects, or property cleanups, you'll often find them supporting their kids at local sporting events, volunteering in the community, or cheering on other local organizations making a difference.
The values that shaped Cobra Haul extend beyond military service. We have tremendous respect for those who dedicate their lives to serving others. Justin's wife served as a detective with the Omaha Police Department, giving their family a firsthand appreciation for the sacrifices made by first responders. Ron's wife is a mental health practitioner and clinic owner, helping individuals and families navigate some of life's most difficult challenges. These experiences have reinforced our belief that strong communities are built by people who show up, work hard, and take care of one another.
